About KodePos Indonesia
The most complete Indonesian postal code reference
What Is KodePos Indonesia?
KodePos Indonesia (pos.hanifmu.com) is a postal code reference website that provides complete, structured data on Indonesia's administrative regions. We present postal code information down to the village/sub-district level — covering more than 83,000 villages/sub-districts across 38 provinces throughout the archipelago.
This site was built to meet the needs of Indonesians who increasingly shop online and need accurate postal code data when filling in shipping addresses on marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, and other digital forms.
Key Features
Some of the standout features we provide include:
- Fast search — look up postal codes by village, sub-district, district, city name, or directly by the 5-digit postal code.
- Regional hierarchy navigation — browse systematically from province down to village/sub-district.
- Copy shipping address — a complete address format ready to copy in one click, matching Indonesian marketplace shipping standards.
- Page per postal code — see all villages/sub-districts that use one particular postal code.
- Structured data — every page is equipped with Schema.org to support semantic search.
Data Sources
The data we use comes from two publicly available GitHub repositories:
- Administrative region code data — sourced from github.com/cahyadsn/wilayah , containing Indonesia's regional hierarchy from province down to village/sub-district, based on the Minister of Home Affairs Decree (Kepmendagri).
- Postal code data — sourced from github.com/cahyadsn/wilayah_kodepos , containing the mapping of region codes to postal codes.
Both datasets are then processed and merged into a single database based on the region codes they share, so that every village/sub-district can be displayed together with its complete postal code.
We thank the contributors of both repositories above for their open data. Our data updates follow the updates available from those data sources.
Data Accuracy
We are committed to presenting accurate and up-to-date data in line with the available data sources. However, given that Indonesia's administrative data is vast and continually changing, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of all existing data. If you find any data mismatch, please contact us via the contact information below.
